1. Information we collect

We collect the information you give us and a small amount of technical data needed to run the service:

• Account information — your email address, name, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Card content — anything you choose to add to your digital business card(s): your handle, photos, brand color, job title, company, headline, contact details (email, phone, address), and links.
• Usage data — pages visited, per-card view counts, and basic device/browser information used for analytics and abuse prevention.

2. How we use your information

• To operate your account and publish your card(s) at their public URLs.
• To show you basic analytics, such as per-card view counts.
• To send service emails — account notices, and newsletters you have opted into.
• To keep the platform safe: preventing spam, abuse, and unauthorized access.

3. Public content — what others can see

TAP&GO is a digital business card platform, so sharing is the point — a card is a deliberate replacement for a paper business card, and it's public by design once created:

• Everything you add to a card — including contact details such as email, phone, and address, if you choose to include them — is visible to anyone who opens that card's public URL.
• Your account email and password are never shown on a public card and are separate from any email address you choose to add to a card.
• Cards have no directory or search — they're only reachable by someone who has the link or QR code, or is signed in as you.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the platform is used (page views, referrers, approximate location by country). We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

5. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to run TAP&GO — hosting, database, image storage, and email delivery — and only to the extent required to provide the service. We never sell your personal information.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your card(s) and personal information are removed from the platform; residual copies in backups are purged on a rolling basis.

7. Your rights

You can view, edit, or delete your card(s) at any time from your account. You may also request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing us — we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

TAP&GO is not directed at children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
